Leading Tyre Distributor expands with Waikato Distribution Centre
NOVEMBER 2009 - TRS Tyre and Wheel Ltd recently announced the opening of a Waikato Distribution Centre located in Hamilton to service the Waikato and upper North Island region.
The many types of primary production in the greater Waikato / Bay of Plenty region contribute significantly to the NZ economy as do many of the flow on activities such as processing, warehousing and transportation. “With a need for additional warehouse capacity to meet demand, it made sense to locate a distribution warehouse close to many of our major customers and key agricultural activities,” said Andrew Gillam, Marketing Manager for TRS.
“As New Zealand’s largest distributor of Agricultural and Industrial Tyres and wheel equipment, TRS despatch thousands of tyres and related items every month and the addition of a Hamilton warehouse will further improve our capacity to service the market,“ he said.
Already TRS despatch products from three locations in Auckland, Wanganui and Christchurch, with the ability to reach most destinations overnight. The Hamilton warehouse will further enhance the ability to deliver with the added benefit of same day delivery for many Waikato businesses and their customers.
TRS have also appointed a dedicated Territory Manager to the Waikato / Bay of Plenty Region to provide advice and sales support to Agricultural and Industrial customers within the region. In addition to supplying replacement tyres, TRS specialise in the design and manufacture of wheel equipment to suit any type of specialist farming or industrial application.
